Rugs are an vary important part in home decor and although they are very expensive at times it is well worth every penny. The difficult decision is trying to decide which style you want to go for in every room. There are two main styles to use in home decorating; modern and traditional. Below we will explore both of them to find out which one is right for you.
Traditional home decor places great emphasis on balance and familiarity. In this style, nothing is out of place, as everything goes together with something to create a sense of perfect symmetry. Furniture, for example, usually goes in pairs, and the style is consistent -nothing out of place. The pieces, from the dining table design to the rug patterns on that hardwood floor, are classic by nature and may give the more modern visitor an impression of outdatedness.

Modern design on the other hand will be pretty simple in taste, and almost always come across as more cold and sterile. But you don't need to leave it cold and sterile; adding in a nice area rug to push a bit of color into the minimal design is a great choice. Modern design is all about a little bit of furniture and very few accessories placed.
You want the room to look like it is larger than what it really is. You can do that using antique area rugs that are from Persia. These rugs have a bold floral design and patterns that are spacious. It's imperative to find furniture that matches the rug. You will need to decide what colors you want to use. Natural area rugs provide a great look while giving you years of wear and tear.
So it doesn't matter whether you go with modern or traditional you will want an area rug that fits perfect in your room. You want a classical feel using the traditional style but give it a modern style feel and look by using a Persia rug. It may be hard to find an antique rug that has a pattern that fits your home.
